Free Parking

As a city Newcastle is relatively easy for cars to navigate, making it much more practical to enjoy a city break in the region as you are able to drive to your destination. This can also be a relief if you’re in the area visiting a relative or friend being treated in the Freeman or RVI hospital as it can mean one less thing to worry about.

However, hospital parking can be expensive, as can trying to park in the city centre. During weekends, the centre of Newcastle can get become extremely busy, making it more difficult to find a space in the multi-storey car parks.

Guests at the Rosebery hotel can avoid these issues and feel free to bring their cars during their stay.

Parking on Rosebery Crescent

There are 2 free and unrestricted Layby’s opposite the Hotel, to the right, with your back to the Hotel front door. Unlike, the majority of Jesmond, there are no parking permits restrictions. You can park anywhere on the right, the full length of Rosebery Crescent. You can also park, behind the hotel on the back lane. Just adjacent to Holy Trinity Church, there is a 2-hour restriction, between 10am-4pm. So overnight parking is absolutely fine.

Please be aware, do not park on a dropped kerb.

Parking on Churchill Gardens

The hotel is located in a spacious, quiet residential area with plenty of parking space, including lay-bys directly outside the Rosebery that can accommodate up to ten cars. These are reserved for our guests to ensure vehicles are safe and to ensure there is sufficient room to prevent overcrowding to the hotel and the surrounding buildings.

We offer free, unrestricted parking at the front, side and rear of the building for everyone staying with us.

Getting Around

For anyone who wishes to travel here by car but doesn’t wish to drive to and from the city centre, guests are able to securely leave their vehicles parked outside the hotel and use any one of the numbers of public transport options available nearby.

There are two metro stations in Jesmond, with the main station only a ten-minute walk away. The bus stop to and from town can be found behind the Rosebery, less than two minutes from the front door. The majority of buses will take you into Newcastle, while the number 38 gets to the Freeman hospital in less than ten minutes. You can also walk into town in around fifteen-twenty minutes.

The Rosebery is one of the most accessible hotels in Newcastle with parking, as many other bed and breakfasts nearby do not have parking on or around their premises. Whilst there is parking in the city, all car parking area charge per hour; save money and leave your car at the hotel for free.
